將旋轉軸心固定於朔望收納盤上，再插入軌道底座的軸承中，能夠順暢旋轉的公轉套組就完成了。

當我們剛轉動熔岩球時，由於角動量守恆原理，熔岩球會藉由 磁鐵吸力 和 摩擦力 把自身的角動量漸漸傳給底盤，朔望收納盤得到角動量而開始轉動，形成自轉引發公轉的現象。
